Specialist seminar on automotive textiles

Target:

In this seminar, you will learn all about the many possible applications of textile products in the automotive sector. We will examine the entire process chain from fiber selection to finishing and special testing procedures. The aim of the seminar is to provide you with in-depth specialist knowledge and to familiarize you with the latest developments and technologies.

Contents:

Textile & Automotive:

• Possible applications for textile products in the automotive sector
• Process capability, traceability and delivery and development cycle
• Application variants in the area of fibers (natural fibers, man-made fibers, mineral fibers)
• Yarn production (spinning processes, yarns, twisted yarns)

Requirements for textiles:

• Manufacture of automotive textile products (woven, knitted, etc.)
• Textile finishing in the automotive sector (dyeing, special treatment)
• Special test methods: including hot light fastness, natural weathering resistance, flame retardancy, emissions, fogging
