Dual block course in textile and clothing technology

From summer 2024, the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences will be offering the “Dual Block Study Program in Textile and Clothing Technology” in cooperation with the Textile Academy. With this new offer, we want to increase the attractiveness of the dual study program and thus attract young talent to the industrial-technical sector.

In contrast to the dual study program, the attendance times in the dual block study program at the university and at the textile academy are divided into longer blocks. The dual block course in textile and clothing technology therefore offers an ideal solution for companies throughout Germany.

What is student life like in Mönchengladbach?

“I find the university in Mönchengladbach really cozy. Everything is centrally located in one place and not as spread out as at other universities. There’s generally a very informal atmosphere here and you make friends straight away. You go to the canteen for lunch and get your coffee at Kaffee Hoffmanns. There are lots of opportunities to get socially involved here, e.g. with Fairquer or the student council. On Wednesday evenings, we all go to Mezcalitos. Everything in the bar is always half price for students. So you can really meet everyone here! At the weekend we’re often out and about in Cologne or Düsseldorf – the big cities are only 30-50 minutes away by train.” Simone (24) – 4th semester Textile and Clothing Technology.
