Seminar contents:

Our experts Guido and Felix will guide you through an exciting workshop on jeans production and finishing. Guido Wetzel from Blaumann Jeanshosen GmbH will guide you through the complex process of creating a pair of jeans, from product development to fashion treatments and quality assurance. Felix Holtgrave from 140 Fahrenheit GmbH revolutionizes the conventional way of denim finishing thanks to state-of-the-art laser, washing and water recycling technologies. In this workshop, you will visit the 140 Fahrenheit production facility and learn what the denim finishing of the future could look like. After the seminar, you will have learned what makes a pair of jeans, how jeans are made and how sustainability, digitalization and social responsibility can be implemented in jeans production and finishing.

Felix Holtgrave:
In 2012, Felix Holtgrave decided to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps and began studying textile engineering at HSNR alongside his training at trouser specialist ALBERTO. While still a student, Felix H. founded an agency for the finishing of outerwear. In 2021, Felix H. then founded the company together with his brother Dr. Max Holtgrave 140Fahrenheit GmbHwhich, as a long-term cooperation partner of C&A, refines jeans at the Mönchengladbach site using the most modern and resource-saving processes, and the start-up now produces for BLAUMANN and other well-known brands in the industry.

Guido Wetzel:
Guido Wetzel also studied at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and graduated as a textile technologist in 1991. After many years at the company Mustang Jeans GmbH, he founded the company Blaumann jeans. Blaumann Jeanshosen stands for high-quality jeans made in Germany for connoisseurs in the most elaborate workmanship. Guido Wetzel is a passionate jeans expert through and through.
