The textile and clothing industry has undergone a transformation in recent decades: Away from a dusty image, towards an industry that today stands for sophisticated products and innovative production processes. The textile and clothing industry is developing rapidly, especially in the industrial-technical sector. Qualified specialists are needed to meet the special requirements of the industry.
This is where the Textilakademie NRW comes in. The Association of the North-West German Textile and Clothing Industry in Münster and the Association of the Rhineland Textile and Clothing Industry in Wuppertal are bundling vocational training for industrial and technical professions at the Mönchengladbach site on their own initiative. The players are investing 20 million euros in this – without public funding.
The aim is to take account of structural and demographic change in the textile and clothing industry and to secure the next generation of qualified specialists for the future of the industry.
The state-recognized private alternative vocational school sets the highest standards in terms of quality
