Karl-Josef Laumann, Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, was a guest at the Textile Academy on September 5, 2024 as part of his Skilled Workers Tour.
The Minister presented the key points of his “NRW Skilled Workers Initiative”. “The aim of the state government is to integrate all employable people living here in North Rhine-Westphalia into the labor market and recruit them as skilled workers and employees.” There is great potential for the labor market, especially among young people without vocational qualifications, older people, women, people with disabilities and migrants.
In the first part of the event, a panel discussed the topic of “Securing skilled workers in the Middle Lower Rhine region”.
In the second part, various projects and initiatives from the region were presented, including the Textile Factory 7.0.
