Target:
This seminar provides participants with a practice-oriented introduction to 3D-supported product development for the clothing industry. They will become familiar with various 3D simulation systems on the market and understand their use throughout the digital development process – from pattern construction to material simulation and virtual fitting. Key content includes the individual components and stages of realistic clothing simulations, the creation of realistic avatars, rendering and the visual and technical assessment of fit in the digital environment. The aim is to develop a deeper understanding of the evaluation of virtual prototypes and to use their potential in a targeted manner in the development process.

Lecturer:
Antje Christophersen
holds a degree in textile and clothing technology and is a research assistant at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences. She is an expert in the field of digital product development.
