Target:

The specialist seminar “Spinning” offers a comprehensive introduction to the subject area of spinning and provides in-depth specialist knowledge. Participants learn about all types of spun fiber and filament yarn production. In addition to the theory lessons, participants will visit the spinning pilot plant at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and deepen their knowledge.

Lecturer:

Prof. Dr. Thomas Weide studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in textile technology at RWTH Aachen University. He then worked for 16 years in development in textile machine construction at Schlafhorst, where he eventually became Head of Technology. During this time, he completed an external doctorate in the field of air-jet spinning. He has been a professor of textile technology for spinning at HS Niederrhein since 2010.
